Privacy Policy for Evacal and TriftGo

This Privacy Policy explains how Evacal Inc. ("Evacal", "we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our websites (including www.evacal.com) and our mobile applications (including TriftGo).
1) Scope
This policy applies to:
- Evacal websites, including the waitlist form on www.evacal.com
- TriftGo mobile app (navigation + toll optimization + rewards)
- Meta, Facebook, and Instagram integrations that you connect to Evacal or TriftGo features
- Related services and support communications
2) Information We Collect
2.1 Location information
- Precise location (GPS): When you use TriftGo navigation or tap a current-location control, we access precise GPS coordinates to provide routing, turn-by-turn guidance, toll calculations, route progress, speed and reroute checks, and route-relevant geofence deal alerts.
- Background location during active trips: If enabled, TriftGo may access location in the background only while navigation is active so guidance, toll calculations, and route-relevant geofence deal alerts keep working when you use another app or lock the screen.
- Geofencing and route corridor checks: TriftGo may compare your current location and route polyline with nearby toll corridors, gantries, and eligible deal locations. We use this to avoid fake nearby merchants, calculate whether a stop is on route, and decide whether to show or suppress a route-relevant alert.
2.2 Usage and diagnostics
- App events and performance: Basic diagnostics like app version, device/OS information, crashes, and performance metrics to improve stability and reliability.
- Log data: When you interact with our services, servers may receive standard log data such as IP address, request timestamps, and user agent.
2.3 Account and contact information (optional)
- Waitlist email: If you join the waitlist, we collect your email address and basic metadata (timestamp, IP address, user agent) to manage the waitlist and prevent abuse.
- Support: If you contact support, we collect the information you provide.
2.4 Microphone / audio permission
TriftGo may request microphone and speech-recognition permission for hands-free route-deal prompts during navigation. The current voice flow listens for short responses such as allow or skip after the app speaks a prompt.
- Audio is used to recognize the short driver response. We do not sell raw audio, and we do not use microphone access for advertising profiling.
- You can disable microphone or speech recognition access in device settings. If permission is denied, TriftGo falls back to non-voice controls.
2.5 Social platform integration data
- Meta or Instagram connection data: If you connect a Facebook Page, Instagram professional account, or other Meta asset to an Evacal feature, we may receive app-scoped user IDs, business or page identifiers, Instagram account metadata, access-token metadata, webhook subscription details, and other integration data required to operate the feature you requested.
- Content and insight data: Depending on the permissions you approve, we may receive media metadata, comment or mention metadata, account insights, and related operational data from Meta APIs. We only request and use data needed for the relevant product feature.
3) How We Use Information
- Provide navigation, routing, toll estimates, and trip summaries
- Show route-relevant geofence alerts and suppress offers that are not near, ahead of, or useful to the trip
- Improve routing quality (e.g., calibration, traffic adjustments) and app reliability
- Operate and secure our services, prevent fraud/abuse, and troubleshoot issues
- Communicate with you about product updates (e.g., if you join the waitlist)
- Operate connected Meta or Instagram features, including authentication, webhook processing, account linking, and deletion handling
4) How We Share Information
We may share information in the following ways:
- Service providers: We use vendors to operate our infrastructure and features (for example: hosting, crash reporting, and mapping/routing APIs). These providers process data on our behalf under contractual restrictions.
- Mapping, routing, location, and affiliate partners: TriftGo may send route, coordinate, place-search, or booking-link information to providers that help power maps, routing, toll estimates, geocoding, place lookup, hotel/car/travel booking, analytics, and affiliate attribution. These partners may include map/routing providers, hosting providers, Expedia/CJ affiliate systems, and analytics or crash-reporting services.
- Platform providers: If you connect Meta or Instagram assets, information may be exchanged with Meta Platforms and related API services to provide the connected feature, comply with platform rules, and process deletion or revocation requests.
- Legal and safety: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect users, the public, or our rights.
- Business transfers: If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, data may be transferred as part of that transaction.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for third-party advertising targeting unrelated to the Evacal or TriftGo feature you requested.
5) Data Retention
- Waitlist records are retained as long as needed to provide early access and product updates, or until you request deletion.
- Diagnostic information is retained for a limited period as needed to maintain and improve the service.
- Navigation, toll, geofence, and analytics logs are retained only as long as needed for reliability, fraud prevention, aggregate metrics, and product improvement, unless a longer period is required for legal, accounting, security, or dispute-resolution reasons.
- Meta or Instagram integration records are retained only as long as needed to operate the connected feature, comply with platform requirements, handle security issues, or maintain a minimal deletion audit trail.
6) Your Choices
- Location permissions: You can control location access in your device settings. Some features may not work without location.
- Precise location and background location: iOS and Android may allow you to disable precise location, background location, or all location access. TriftGo also reconfirms precise-location use before starting active navigation.
- Microphone and speech recognition: You can turn these permissions off in device settings. Voice deal prompts are optional and can be skipped.
- Delete / access requests: You can request deletion of your waitlist record or other account-related data by contacting us.
- Meta or Instagram deletion requests: If you connected a Meta or Instagram account, you can revoke the integration through Meta and use our Data Deletion Instructions page for callback and status details.
7) Children’s Privacy
TriftGo and Evacal services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information to us, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
8) Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
9) Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the effective date above when we make changes.
