Frequently asked questions

How do I return after submitting?

Use the secure “Continue” button in your most recent TriftGo email. It opens the correct application or profile once and is replaced when a newer continuation link is sent. You can also choose “Continue an existing application or vendor profile” and request a short-lived email code.

Should I complete the application on a phone or computer?

The portal supports current mobile Safari and Chrome. For the most reliable full-form experience—especially image selection, image positioning, and long applications—we recommend a desktop or laptop computer with a current browser and stable internet connection. If you use a phone, keep the page open until the submission confirmation appears. Your entries stay on the page if the security question must be refreshed.

Why is verification by email instead of text message?

Email provides password-free access to the owner dashboard. A telephone number is optional business contact information and is not used for an SMS code.

What happens after I submit?

A human reviews the business and offer separately. We email the owner when it is approved, rejected, held, or needs changes. An approved Founding Partner completes owner verification and publication steps without a card or Stripe payment; an approved standard vendor sees the exact plan quote before secure Stripe Checkout.

How does the Founding Partner campaign work?

While DFW enrollment is open, eligible applicants may request Founding Partner consideration. A human must approve the business, offer, and program grant. Approved Founding Partners receive Growth capabilities for 90 days, up to three active offers per approved location, and one optional extension up to 180 total days. No card or automatic paid conversion is used for the comped pilot. If the campaign is closed or the application is outside the recruiting market, standard plan pricing and applicable standard introductory terms remain available; exact terms are shown only after the approved location is verified.

Can one offer be available at more than one location?

Yes. Add each branch separately, then enter the shared offer once and choose the locations that will honor it. Every branch keeps its own verified address, approval, offer slot, publication status and redemption records. PIN coverage can be explicitly shared or location-specific; transaction attribution always retains the actual branch. A branch does not become public merely because another branch was approved.

How does pricing work with more than one location?

Standard pricing is per active location: Local is $19.99 per month per location and Growth is $49.99 per month per location. For example, two Growth locations total $99.98 per month before an approved promotion. Adding a location only creates a branch for review; it does not charge a card, open Checkout, upgrade a plan, or extend a Founding Partner pilot. The exact selected locations, unit price, and total are shown before paid acceptance.

How do I enter a dollar-off deal?

Choose the recommended “Dollar amount off after a minimum spend” deal type. Enter the maximum amount a customer can save and the minimum eligible pre-tax purchase. For example, a $5 maximum saving with a $25 minimum purchase means “$5 off when you spend at least $25.” The minimum purchase must be at least the maximum saving. Fixed-dollar and percentage offers are both available to ordinary and TriftGo+ customers; value does not choose membership access.

How often may one customer use my offer?

The default is repeat use on every eligible purchase while the offer is active. Each redemption credential is valid for one transaction, but completing that transaction does not block a later eligible purchase. If the reviewed terms say “one use per customer,” the saved one-time policy enforces that limit; conflicting terms and policy cannot be published.

What are standard savings and Credit Boost?

The standard saving uses no credits. Credit Boost lets an eligible customer spend the exact number of credits shown to receive the larger reviewed saving. The customer selects the actual branch and saving and reviews the eligible subtotal and app-calculated discount. Staff apply the discount and collect payment at the normal register; AFTER payment succeeds, staff enter an authorized Merchant PIN on the CUSTOMER’S TriftGo checkout screen and confirm once. The portal manages PINs and reviews activity; it is not the routine confirmation screen. A customer’s TriftGo+ access is separate from the vendor’s Growth plan.

Can a percentage offer have a minimum purchase?

Yes. Set the optional minimum eligible purchase on the offer form. The server applies it to both Standard and Credit Boost using the eligible subtotal before tax and tip. A $50 minimum rejects $49.99 without consuming credits. The owner must review and accept each revised offer version before publication; an existing fixed-dollar minimum remains unchanged.

Do customers need TriftGo+ or driving miles for my offer?

An ordinary merchant-funded offer does not acquire a driving-mile requirement just because it has a larger discount. Ordinary and TriftGo+ customers may use an all-customer offer when its published terms allow it. A separately approved TriftGo-sponsored driving pilot uses its exact live eligibility and funding policy. Angie's current pilot requires 10 verified navigation miles within 30 days and since the last successful sponsored redemption at the selected branch; it does not require a guided arrival. Planned distance, a trip-summary screenshot, credit balance, or membership alone is not proof. Do not assume another pilot has the same terms.

What if my food truck moves or customers arrive near the branch?

The live offer must point to the approved operating location and hours. Request approval of a moved truck's location before customers navigate or redeem. If the location is stale, pause redemption and request a branch correction. A location-specific PIN from another branch cannot authorize the truck. An explicitly shared business PIN can authorize it only if that exact active, approved truck location is included in its confirmed coverage.

How are photos selected and approved?

Prepare one to three JPEG, PNG, or WebP photos for the shared offer, confirm you have usage rights, and arrange them in cover-first order. HEIC/HEIF needs conversion. Saving a draft, uploading a photo, or approving one branch does not publish the gallery; the owner and reviewer must verify the exact offer and images before catalog readback.

What are Merchant PINs and customer reports?

A location-specific PIN confirms only its branch; an explicitly shared business PIN confirms only its covered branches. Cross-business confirmation is always denied, and PINs must never appear in public screenshots or email. A customer report is a fallback review item—not vendor-verified revenue, a payable sponsorship record, or proof of purchase—until an authorized owner or manager confirms it.

Does TriftGo reimburse my discounts?

Normally the merchant funds both the standard and Credit Boost savings. Any TriftGo-sponsored pilot needs separate written approval of its exact offer version, covered branches, dates, budget, per-sale cap decision, receipt rule, payout cadence, refund treatment, and payment process. The pilot is unavailable while these terms or atomic eligibility/budget controls remain open. A TriftGo redemption result is not proof the restaurant's POS payment settled; an approved net liability and actual payment reference must be reconciled before stating a check was issued. This is not an automatic promise to other vendors.

What if checkout is interrupted, canceled, or refunded?

Keep the original Redemption ID and recover that same server result; a lost response is not proof of success or failure and is not a reason to issue a second discount. An insufficient-credit customer may deliberately choose Standard, never an automatic partial Boost. If payment fails, do not enter the Merchant PIN to confirm a sale; cancel the unconfirmed attempt. If a sale was already confirmed, only authorized operations may link a void or refund to that original ID. Partial and full refunds use linked adjustments and the approved funding/credit-restoration rules, never deleted records or a second payable sale.

Does a larger discount require TriftGo+?

No. Both fixed-dollar and percentage offers are available to ordinary and TriftGo+ customers. Discount format and size describe customer value; the vendor plan controls vendor tools and eligible marketplace placement. A genuinely separate member-only benefit must be explicitly authorized and is never inferred from a discount threshold.

What is the difference between a Local and Online offer?

A Local offer is shown for redemption in the city on your approved business address. An Online offer can reach customers across states, requires a customer redemption URL, and is available only with Growth.

I left Stripe Checkout or my card failed. How do I try again?

Return with your verified owner email and open “Plan and billing.” A declined, expired, or incomplete card attempt keeps the dashboard available and the Checkout button enabled. Correct the card in Stripe’s secure form or reopen Checkout. If Stripe saved the card but TriftGo could not finish activation, choose “Retry billing setup”; do not re-enter a card unless Stripe asks. No trial starts until catalog publication and subscription activation both succeed.

When is my approved offer considered live?

For a standard paid vendor, only after Stripe verifies the saved billing method and TriftGo successfully publishes and reads back the exact offer from the customer catalog. An approved comped Founding Partner does not use Stripe; its access starts only after the program grant and the same successful catalog publication/readback. Failed catalog verification starts neither access nor promotional time.

How do offer limits and replacements work?

Local permits one active offer. Use “Replace or update offer” to stage a reviewed replacement while the current version stays live; approval swaps the catalog version without creating a second active slot. Growth permits up to three active offers. Every additional offer is reviewed, and the server rechecks the plan limit at the final catalog transaction so simultaneous requests cannot exceed the plan.

How does TriftGo measure a Local purchase and savings?

The customer selects the actual branch and Standard or Boost, enters the eligible subtotal and reviews the discount. Staff apply it and take payment. AFTER payment succeeds, staff enter an authorized Merchant PIN on the customer's TriftGo checkout screen and tap Confirm sale & redeem once. TriftGo calculates the discount and records the result as Vendor-verified. If staff cannot verify it, the customer can report the purchase for vendor review; that is kept separate from verified revenue. Never enter a customer card number.

What can I see in vendor reporting?

You can review TriftGo redemptions and purchase amounts recorded for your offers. Vendor reporting does not expose customers’ private trip or spending histories. Customers use earned TriftGo Credits for additional savings; you set and approve the offer and Credit Boost and fund both discount levels.
